you might be able to blame Nintendo on this one, but I've pointed out before, there was 488 villagers to choose from and Sasha was 1 of them. each one they choose has some significant reason, it's not random.
I think there's a couple others like that; Dom is a sheep guy who looks "girly" and his quote is "be true to your most shiny self"
and to avoid the shock, you know about the fish guy and the bug guy, right? C.J. and Flick? they are "partners" it's said 100x in the game I'm shocked they did not make sets yet for either of them
I'll point out the Alpaca characters Reese and Cyrus who shockingly get girl/boy MARRIED in the game and you take wedding photos for them. Soooo.... it's not all propaganda
