Do you mean that you're struggling with how to do it in program or conceptually? If you need ideas, look at marvel legends, busou shinki, FAGs, etc. just remember that your pieces will need to be designed a little differently because they are printed and not injection molded.
It sounds like you need to look at some articulation schemes. If you can create cavities for revo/peg joints you can definitely make a snap together hinge or ball socket joint. I believe in you mang.
