Back in the the heyday of MH, alot of fans wanted Papa Drac in doll form for "obvious" reasons. And when Matty finally made a Dracula doll in the monster family wave, they made this soiboi abomination you see in pic related. Were fans angry? Very much so.
So when I heard that they were going to do a Skullector Dracula doll, I was hoping that Mattel was going to make a "proper" Dracula. A male doll heavily based on the classic Bela Lugosi look that would please the OG fans. Better late than never, right?
But no, we got Fem-Drac. Because there's not enough characters rocking the female vampire look, except for Countess Marya Zaleska, Vampira, Elvira, Morticia Adams, Lilian Munster, Elissabat, and Draculara herself. And it's a shame too because a male Dracula doll would be the rare case of a male doll selling better than the female one. Lots of gals find vampires sexy and wouldn't mind having a husbando doll of the greatest vampire of them all.
