Personally they just don't do enough with their simplistic transformations. It's one thing to turn the beast feet into the robot claws, its another thing to not hide the hands at all during this process. Or when locking the kibble in place impedes leg bend range of motion to almost nothing. Like with their dinobots, its like they gave up half way through the design process.
