It wasn't a great toy, for sure, but the gorilla proportions with the small legs and giant arms and relatively proportionate head look ok to me. The new one looks like some sort of horrid little gnome ready to run over and kick you in the balls, I really don't like the proportions at all.
Also, despite all the improvements in sculpt and engineering and shit, it somehow looks almost as cheap and garish as the old one. This is really not the improvement I had hoped for.
