That UV light cured clear nail polish also came in. I didn't apply it to a spoon this time. Instead, I put it on a miniature I had laying around that was already coated with a little bit of that MGM Hobby "plating powder." I'm pretty sure it boosted to top coat but I have no idea by how much.
So I pretty much applied that clear nail polish a little sloppy but I think the pic gets the point across about how effective it is when combined with the powder. Anyway, the clear 'finishing' coat went on and then I cured it with a UV light. I think it only took a minute to actually cure but I ran the light for a bit longer just to be sure. That didn't really change the appearance much but then I put on some more of that powder and got a pretty impressive chrome finish. It's still pretty dark but god damn, is it reflective!
Nothing outside of the top part of the helmet wasn't treated with the nail polish.
