What you have is like just a tiny bit away from hitting it out of the park. Maybe dry brush or repaint the body a closer grey, dry brushing is easier and you don't have to be as thorough. The straps and vest can all be painted a little more.
You're doing great, you just gotta give yourself time to improve, or y'know, some projects are always a little wip. I retouch old figures pretty constantly.
