>>11631945Almost everything GI Joe Haslab isn't oversized like Unicron or Galactus. THey're not even playset big and they were carrying shit like that up until 1:18 GI Joe died, because it was still that popular.
And toy stores still carry toys this big, but only for toylines that are actually popular. Again, Haslab exists because Hasbro wants to make a toy, but stores don't have confidence in it selling, because previous toys like it sold poorly.
Disney did its best at killing the STar Wars fanbase and retailers don't want to order more Star Wars products, so of course Haslabs exist for it. Tron was never popular, so of course a Haslab was made for it, because Hasbro was stupid enough to licesne it and they're losing money by not making anything (like Star Wars). These Haslabs are marks of a failed fanbase. GI Joe needing a Haslab is sad.
And look at how they compacted everything before in order to please retailers.
>>11632051It's sad how fractured the GI Joe fanbase is. People are angry that not every fan is buying the Classified line, because they're seeing how poorly the line has been selling. No one's going to look at this era with much fondness.
Back the GI Joe vs Cobra line, there was a lot of love for vintage style o-ring figures benig released concurrently with the then-modern GI Joes. No one bothered the doll collectors. So everyone co-existed without drama, because sales were great. During the 25th+ era, vintage o-ring figures and dolls co-existed and everyone was happy, because sales were great.
Now sales are so bad that Hasbro doesn't even make the vintage o-rings or dolls themselves anymore; they've licensed out their own toylines and has such low confidence in the Classified line that it needs to cockblock another licensor from releasing toys in the US, because they fear it'll cannibalize the already weak 1:12 sales
