There is most definitely a better way they could have gone about making this transformation - maybe have the two chest halves slide inward towards his robot head; instead they chose to have them unfold upwards accordion-style, stretchign out his torso way past where it should be and making his tail look shorter than it actually is. The design decisions and compromises we've seen since Legacy (and the whole WFC line in general) started really have been baffling.
