LEGO minis are just lazy-tier figures. There's like one original piece and everything else is drawn onto a blank body. So everyone is basically the same size and shape, like Homer = Mr Burns = Chief Wiggums = Apu
McFarlane body's are the same thing as minimates. New molded body (fits over blank), new molded arms. New molded feet. New molded head.
With the FNAF figures, you could actually pull the the heads off to see the animatronic head underneath that.
Of course, there's no hinges for the limbs. Just swivels, but they include more swivels like the feet being seperate from the legs.
