It takes liberties, but is nowhere near retrofire tier. I think you forget just how awful the retrofires were. Don't get me wrong, I still like the mini-pla, though I'm mostly interested in it for the individual Zords in that scale and compatibility with the Dragonzord. I can't ever see myself displaying it over the SRC.
