I'm assuming your plush maker was skilled enough that you shouldn't need to worry about damage from these methods, but if you have doubts about how sturdy your plush is maybe just be extra gentle over seams, embroidery, facial features etc.
Also if you don't want to have to repeat the cleaning in a couple years I would really suggest you stop sleeping with it. Even if you're clean when you get in bed, humans sweat a surprising amount while they sleep.
