>>7731182>blaming consumers for not paying the ludicrously high prices for ugly ass glue headed collector dolls, the nasty polyester glitter encrusted dresses, wonk eyed face paint or the fact most of the collector dolls don't even have articulation for the past decade and a halfAnd all of these issues date back to 2009 at least when glue head and Indonesian made dolls made up a bulk of the collector line, and nothing has been worth any of the fucking asking prices Mattel asks for. I have collector dolls from the fucking 2000s with choppy frizzy ass hair, I have collector dresses that have no details or choppy flat box hair, my Barbie Basics have yellowing glue head discolouring their vinyl, my Silkstone dolls have obvious plastic flash and seam lines and misshapen heads, and even my Crystal Caves Ken doll's armour has no paint detail on the back. My Unicorn Barbie collector doll has that fucking oily and frizzy polypropylene hair fibre instead of saran or a higher quality nylon.
Combine this with how Monster High's play line often surpassed Collector Barbie for a solid 6 years with added articulation, details and designs.
Why the literal fuck should I even pay Mattel full price on half assed collectors dolls when I could just buy an Integrity Toys doll for a comparable item but with a much higher quality, or buy play line shit at the same quality but significantly cheaper.
Don't blame consumers like me for Mattel's lazy designers and cutting corners and being able to see that.
