What they should have done is that the RE 1/100 is to be the cheap army building line to accompany MGs. Like release a cheap 1/100 LEO to accompany the release of MG Wing.
But yeah, Bandai prefer to be retarded. Case in point: Petitrits. They made a retarded line for FGO instead of just doing them as Figurise. Now basically the line is dead in a year.
