>>10546624The alt modes of these guys are where they shine, and why I got them - with the exception of 'Laser Cycle', all of them have additional little tampographs on them that are pretty neat - Toxitron has neon orage ooze seeping out of his trailer and a G2 Decepticon symbol on his roof, Jazz has neat little triangle patters that transition away from the orange gradient on hsi hood and a G2 Autobot symbol on his front, Dead End has what looks like some kind of black and yellow comet on each door and a massive black symbol on his hood outlining his G2 decepticon logo, Mirage has some gator heads on his spoiler, green fizzy bubbles along hsi sides, and a little red G2 Autobot insignia on his hood, and Sideswipe has an entire picture of a neon sunset on both doors and his hood. Whiel Toxitron is definitely the main attraction here with all of his features, I think Sideswipe is my favorite of the rest of the bunch - between the painted pictures on him, the choice of colors, and his overall alt mode shape gives off some cool Vaporwave vibes, with Jazz and Mirage tying as a close second.
On the note of Jazz, though, there's really no way to attach his two new guns along with his old one in alt mode all at once without it looking utterly ridiculous. On a side note, I'm planning on using all but Toxitron as separate characters to differentiate them from their normal colored versions, though I haven't come up with any names for them yet.
While most of them were just recolors of characters I already had, Toxitron is pretty neat (even with the arm issue), and all of the characters are visually fun to look at; I'm already reconsidering grabbing Cloudcover (he's the only Toxitron character that showed up at my local Walmart, so him no longer being orderable on Pulse isn't an issue), and I'm hoping we get more repaints like these. Also, totally looking forward to Grimlock when they finally decide to ship him out.
