What would you do to make Siege Soundwave's vehicle mode less shit? It's apparent they arrived on this form by designing out from the robot form that they need to keep looking as G1 as possible. So all those big blocky design elements that used to translate into basically a box shape have to stay and you need to turn that into a suitable vehicle.
I think what might have worked better would have been to take the mass of the figure and fold it out into a deck like an aircraft carrier, a design that is fairly easily justifiable to function as a flight mode while still being blocky and non-aerodynamic. This might be a more suitable idea for a larger classed figure but it could still probably function well with micromasters like he's already associated with and I just realised 'deck' makes for a pretty good wordplay reference to his G1 alt mode.
