It's just his own artistic style. Ugly. If you like it, good for you, but you can say the same shit about PAKs. I don't like it, but obviously they're highly popular, but you can't say they nailed the sculpt, because they'er not even trying to nail anything. They're just doing their own thing.

Hasbro actually sculpts the face to look like the actor and then uses the decals to give the face shading and other details that would be expensive to free hand/tooled with an airbrush like you see on collector figures from Mezco, McFarlane, or Hot Toys.
