The Adaptive Miru already exists in one form (Phantoka Lewa), so you're not taking away anyone's mask.
The Axalara Miru might just as well been another Kanohi, if the Axalara pilot hadn't been canonized as Lewa. Granted, the insipiration from the 2002 Miru Nuva IS there.
But you could say the same thing about the Jetrax pilot. He's just a generic Inika-build with a bat-like mask, he looks nothing like Antroz aside from the red. Heck, we're not even sure if the designers meant him to be Antroz.
