>>11376267-Lego could totally do this but it's not as profitable as huge brick-built sets. 1-piece tiny expensive-to-produce $5 Pikachu, vs easy blocks 950-piece $100 Pikachu?
-you "think" there's plenty of Pokecenters and um.... caves? like, maybe a beach? playsets to put minifigs in, but nobody "knows" or "cares" about that. it's all about the Pokemon themselves
-Lego doesn't care if they do EXACTLY what Mega did. they traded IPs before and copied the same stuff between them, TMNT, Spongebob, those were like exact copies of sets
-if Lego makes giant brick pokemon, at least you could try and build your own of your favorites and have them still match, you can't do that with minifig-scale molds
I have very low expectations about the whole thing. it would be awesome if I could make my own Trainer minifig and have adventures with a minifig-scale crew of pokemon, it would be "different" than what Mega did, and clearly something only "Lego" could do, but the reality is that's not likely to happen. AND even if they DID do that perfectly, there's still 1025 different Pokemon and the chances they'll do ANY of your favorites is %0.001 (unless your favorites are Pikachu or Charizard which are %100)
