Working on my first doll from scratch, still super early but I figured I'd post it anyway. Mistakes have already been made, her back lacked an arch and was far too chunky so it needed drastic action in the form of a stanley blade and files/sandpaper.
Other than that I've been sanding down the parts I'm unhappy with, (mainly the shoulders/arm joints) and trying to get it symmetrical, still not sure I'm there yet, so I'm gonna keep trying to get this base shape right before I take it any further.
The work so far is an aluminum foil base with milliput over the top, pretty glad I picked this way to do it, as I'm happy just carving out my many sculpting mistakes and perfecting things when it's gone hard. Any advice on getting it symmetrical is very welcome, I can post pics of my very basic anatomy plan if people are interested enough.
