Are you talking about blanket acceptance? We're discussing the issue right now.
Are you talking about purchasing a product despite its flaws? I wanted to purchase the Goblin Queen before I knew who she was because I love the design, and I still plan on doing so. The fact that she's not painted properly is annoying, and likely unjustified on Hasbro's part, but it doesn't bother me enough because it doesn't ruin the design. By contrast, when McFarlane refused to fully paint Medieval Spawn, I didn't buy it, despite it being my most anticipated figure of the year, because it did ruin the design. Still irked about that one.
And how are you defining kidults? Folks who don't boycott products or companies due to any shortfall in quality, value, or authenticity? Few people have that kind of all or nothing mentality about anything.
I'd argue that discussing it loud enough for the companies to hear accomplishes more than taking your ball home and leaving the hobby.
