Finished the Cobi Challenger 2 today! The proportions are a bit off; I feel the hull is too wide and too flat, while the turret should be further forward on the hull. Of course, a lot of that is due to limits around the parts Cobi has available. A lot of the shaping is quite good, I was especially impressed with the turret. While the Cobi's turret lacks the proper angled turret sides, they nailed a lot of the other angles on the Chally turret, most notably around the turret bustle. I do wish Cobi had thrown in some tampo prints (unit markings or something) to liven up the finished build a bit.
Gripes aside, I really love how it turned out. Sure, it ain't the most accurate model of a Chally 2, but the finished build is just a rad looking tank. I love the Challenger's massive, angular turret and the Cobi really rocks it.
