Kit and paint bought from one shop turns up on the same day as the masks bought from another, I'll take that as a good omen. Seems MBK's going for some extra revenue streams, because on top of a small brochure from Das Werk they had tossed in 5EUR coupon for some internet casino, a 30EUR one for some wine shop (that I suspect local laws may not approve of me using), 50% off for some shaving supplies and a small mail order catalogue for outdoors clothes.
Now in addition to all of that one pain that showed up was the last one I wanted fro the Crusader, so final basecoat's been done there now. Time to seal it up and get the oils. While waiting for the paint I also started up an UM Su-122 (my favourite WW2 SPG/assault gun solely based on looks and having built one as a kid back in '91 or '92, though that was Tamiya). Somewhat as you'd expect form a really small maker there's a decent bit of flash and you're gonna need a bit of filler here and there, but nothing atrocious. Pretty soft plastic that reacts strongly to plastic cement. The biggest pain is the use of separate vinyl/rubber tires for the roadwheels, having built that here and a t34 of theirs before my advice is to put the wheels on the ires the first thing you do, because it takes a bit of force.
