I can't even get the main DC good guys I want, let alone 3 or 4 of the major legion of doom characters in the 6 inch scale or the spinmasters whatever that is scale. I can't even get some of my most wanted non-obscure characters in lego scale, and lego has been absolutely killing it with obscure comic characters tossed in with batman sets these days.
Meanwhile, there's like, what, seven new versions of black widow out right now, not counting the five or six past versions? So not only do I get to pick up my favourite costume to further complete my avengers team, I also get to look forward to some huge chonky obscure ass robot like Nimrod too? And speaking of side characters, I have a choice of whether I want JJ Jameson in a brown or blue suit.
If crowd-pleasing but a little cookie cutter billion dollar movies where people know the names of the characters I want to collect is the price I have to pay to get a complete team on the shelf, then I'm happy to watch my marvel shelf grow while my DC shelf stays bare. I don't understand where this elitism comes from when we're collecting mass market children's toys.
At this point, I'm confident some of my never-ever morlock characters are more certain than even a half-assed legion of doom. Joker Superman came out before fucking Bizarro, dudes.
