Not exactly. Its bond with plastic is quite a bit weaker than CA so if you do some sort of surface sculpting like pic related or bridging large gaps like >>9512503 metal or plastic scaffolding of some sort is necessary.

Make sure the plastic is clean from fingerprints etc and depending on what you are trying to do you might need some supporting structure like pins.

Get Mr Resin Primer or Mr Primer Surfacer, then use Mr Color lacquers or acrylics.
Do not use any Tamiya primers or lacquers, do not use enamel or enamel thinner of any kind (including panel line washes), do not use panel lining markers or Mr Weathering.

I had to trim about 0.5mm from the middle pin after it was already glued in place. Say what you want about GodHands but I don't know of any other nipper that could pull of that cut.

That was GodHands for metal wire, not the plastic one BTW.
