>>7992176It's weird, because as a kid and even once I began collecting Transformers as an adult, I was a stickler for more subdued, "realistic" alt modes and color schemes, but then one day it just kind of hit me that neon was beautiful, and now I can't get enough of irridescent blue/pink/green/orange.
I suppose a part of me rationalized that, if you're going to have something as ostentacious as a dune buggy that turns into a giant robot with a water cannon, he may as well have a color scheme you can't ignore, either. Plus there's also the nostalgia factor; I definitely remember when these colors were prevalent in literally everything marketed towards kids. I once had a Huffy with the exact same color scheme as pic related.
