Whenever I see big figures with big hands, I'd always rather they have articulated fingers. Of course, if they're not done well and have that extra lateral movement at the base of the fingers, the motion isn't exactly ideal. I remember when DST solicited their Iron Giant I was so excited that a relatively cheap figure was going to have articulated fingers. Of course, it didn't end up having them, and instead opted for alternate hands. Of course, if it isn't done well, both in articulation and tightness of the joints, it's better if they don't bother.
