Not really? Seems like he lived in exactly the right timeline. Since he drew that comic, he got a figure of Vash produced by his idol, McFarlane. Had a decently long-running Trigun toyline, expertly sculpted and engineered by Yamaguchi. Started his own toy company (Toy Tribe). Invented the Revolver joint and allowed Kaiyodo to use it, birthing the Revoltech line. Worked with Kaiyodo on his original Assemble Borg line once Revoltech took off enough. Nightow isn't the most well-known name in toys, but he has had a pretty huge impact behind the scenes.

And by the way, I appreciate someone who knows their Nightow history! He's a pretty fascinating guy, and I loved learning about his McFarlane obsession and founding of Toy Tribe and inventing AB/the Revolver joint for Kaiyodo. Just such an interesting guy.

Also, check out this theoretical Spawn/Violator Revo mashup he sketched once. So the idea is out there in the universe, floating around...and honestly, Kaiyodo has picked some really bizarre, outdated, and/or unpopular licenses for Revos, so I wouldn't lose hope. It could happen.
