>>6795354They're a lot safer and if you accidentally slash yourself, the chance of it cutting skin is lower due to how the blade is shaped. You're also supposed to scrape with them instead of the normal cut away from yourself technique, but you can do that still with the ceramic.
If you want one, walmart sells a $3 one in the shipping section. I've been using it for about a year now, and the blade is still sharp. It's easy as fuck to find and dirt cheap so I do recommend trying one out.
