The first is to do a candy coat for the lenses (sand them as clean and smooth as you can, then paint gloss black, the shiniest silver you can find, and a clear color over that). This will give you a deep reflective shine that mimics the appearance of a lens pretty well (pic related).
The second idea is to paint them and then coat them in resin, hopefully that will give them enough of a thick shine to mimic the appearance of a lens.
Lastly, you could try buying the Bandai Builders Parts HD sight lens kit, which contains lenses of various sizes that may fit those holes.
