There are 2 Snot pieces used in car front and rear lights plus there are two fence pieces that allow snot connection too. I've used black pieces at the very front and back of the model. The canopy pieces provide sturdiness to the middle of the ship by both being connected to the rim and pressed against back compartment. The engine outlets are connected to a mailbox piece without the door that slides in between bricks. Then a plate secures the assembly by restricting the movement of the mailbox piece by forcing it's two door connection points to stay in one place. Oh. And there are wheels under the shuttle too!
