Seeing them bring him back in Super seems like something they would do, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it happened. They love to bring shit back in because the show is essentialy just a nostalgia cashgrab and they could spin it that he was training in otherworld and somehow was able to become one of these Godlike beings because he has the same genetics/bloodline/potential as Goku.
