>>7117853The Big Lots animal skeletons kinda got lost in all the excitement over the 7" jumbo pose skelly. My thoughts about the T-Rex: I'm still not sure what to think of the Trex. It's only $5.00, but it's a different scale than the 7" human skeleton. Here's a photo of the size, and a real Rement Pose skeleton (not the jumbo bootleg) standing next to it. It can be used as a skeleton army mount for 1:18 figures.
Articulation is better than most Halloween decor crap, but not at the level of the oversize bootleg human skelly. Jaw opens, head connected to neck with hybrid swivel/hinge joint. No articulation on neck to body!
Arms are swivel joint only. No elbow artic. Body connected to hips with hybrid swivel/hinge joint. Legs connect to hip using the same hybrid swivel/hinge joint. No knee artic (!!!). Feet have no articulation and are molded to the entire leg as one piece (!!!) Feet are ridiculously non-skeletal.
Tail connects to hip with swivel-only joint.
It's kinda worth $5, as we are used to paying a lot more for action figures. Even though manufacturer was being cheap by using and re-using the same large hybrid swivel/hinge joint for everything! We know the joint can be scaled down (like original Pose skelly), but this cheapo company isn't doing that- not for the price point of $5 retail (probably $1 wholesale).
Update: Big Lots T-Rex will probably get its butt kicked by the new Bandai Trex Gacha skelly from Japan.
