>>9265361Even G1 did, or it at least implied it. In the cartoon, Orion Pax had a mouth on display and it's kind of silly to think he just lost it upon upgrading to Optimus Prime and gaining a face plate. Hell, the thing often moved when he talked, implying there was still a jaw under there.
G1 comics, on the other hand, were a lot more blatant about it, showing Prime with his face blown off multiple times to reveal what would be his robo skeletal mouth underneath every time. Basically, Prime has had a mouth since the very beginning.
