>>8391866Waterslides are intimidating but really easy once you get the hang of it, definitely try a cheap HG and some 1/144 waterslides first before doing the ED209.
I assume you've got a decent pair of nippers (like SPN120s), a hobby knife or scalpel, and some fine sanding sticks. Consider panel lining before moving onto decals, it involves filling in recesses with ink or a marker to create better definition. There's loads of guides but with the decals you just want to use a clear plastic ruler and your scalpel to cut around each decal with a couple off mm clearance. You place or dip each one in a shallow dish of water before lifting it out by the bottom with a finger and using a cotton bud/q-tip to slide the decal into place. You can move the slide around easily by the corners with the cotton bud to position and push bubbles out by moving them to the edges. It'll set pretty quickly, once you've done all the decals or you want to place one on an irregular surface or curve, or you have some bubbles you can use something like Mr.Mark Softer and Setter. After that you just top coat the whole thing which along with the Mr.Mark softer will hide most/all of the visual decal 'edge'.
