>>9028812>It's more than likely a cost thing. I doubt that cnosidering how a bigger notDoom is to the space marine and he features washes over various parts of his body.
Even that demon from the Doom line is taller than the space marine and he's very complexly painted.
Nevermind how much more detailed their sculpts are over the very brand new looking Primaris armor, that has no chips, scars, nor dents.
Completely plain.
And no, just because the demon from Doom isn't as bulky doesn't really mean much, considering weight has almost nothing to do with cost. There's a reason why McFarlane is able to sell his figures for $20, despite the size increase, because ~7" is where you can mold and assemble a single figure using normal production methods like Marvel Legends without costing more.
NECA, DC Direct, etc all do the same shit to give their toys more value by giving you a slighty larger and heavier figure, because they can't release toys for the same price as mass market figures. Note that all these companies mostly produce unique molds for almost every new character too.
Molds are the most expensive part for making toys, and figures like notDoom are the absolute max they can get without costing more than an ML, which is something McFarlane indirectly bragged about when going on about its package.
