There's a framing device of Duncan telling Orko Cringer's life story. Considering Cringer was a kitten and Adam a preteen the day Orko met them, Orko would have been there for all but the earliest parts of this story.
The archaeologist Melaktha was created by Larry DiTillio and storyboard artist Don Manuel and appeared in 6 episodes, more than any of Mattel's 1983-5 Heroic Warriors except Ram Man.
Melaktha and his assistant seek an audience with the king and queen regarding "ancient ruins possibly dating back over ten thousand years." I don't recall these vague ancient references ever contradicting each other until Classics came along.
