>>9342423With the game, I know a lot of people say it’s bad and stuff, but I think that’s because they went in expecting something else.
Don’t go in expecting gameplay befitting of a game from 2020, like any of the run-of-the-mill first-person or third-person shooters of today (well, the game was released in 2020, but you get what I mean). It really has like PlayStation 2/Xbox classic feel to it, regarding how it plays. And I don’t mean like extremely well-known breakout hits from that era, like Halo, Halo 2, things like that. Think if I t like one of those games from back then that might’ve not have made it big time, but I guess good enough to occasionally see like a kind of “Hey, remember this game?” kind of post. It kind of feels a bit like classic Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and sort of like Lost Planet with how it plays. But more linear.
But yeah, treat it like sort of like a old PS2 or Xbox classic game, not one of the big games, just one of the ones that released and had a decent-ish fanbase, but one where there’s little change it’ll get s modern reboot.
You know what I mean? Like, think of a game back then that was okay, but will never have any kind of modern version, sequel, or reboot. Like, one of those games you see back then and say “Eh, looks kind of fun.” Then you rent it for s week or two, play it by yourself and then maybe with some friends later. That’s the kind of game it feels like. Very early 2000’s, but the “it didn’t back a big blip on the radar, but didn’t go completely under the radar either” kind of games from back then.”
