I chose Thor because it's one of the better MLs and I know there's a Figuarts version. However, I had no idea how the Figuarts compared until I did up this picture. The ML's picture was overexposed, so I reduced the brightness a bit, but no other editing's been done. I also tried to find pictures where they're all in more or less the same pose.
In this case, I would say ML is better than Figuarts, as Figuarts Thor is a bit on the generic side. Like, ML looks more Chris Helmsworth-sy whereas Figuarts, well, doesn't.
Mind you, I'm not saying Figuarts sucks or that ML is awesome. ML only started improving a couple years ago. They still don't have a terrific Tony Stark yet. Meanwhile, Figuarts has been improving from the get go. Their Black Widow blows everything out of the water. Including the Hot Toys (in my opinion).
ML Gamora and Nebula are also good, although I can't say they're better than imports on account that there are no import versions of them as yet.
