>>10403208>If you actually considered this, I feel happy for you that you chose the airbrush.>Your ideas about leaving the turret halved are borderline insane. Are you sure you can't cram the crew and the gun in there afterwards? Though seeing what the crew looks like, I would leave them in the box anyways.Yeah, it largely was regarding my ability to control the airbrush to create the pattern, since I'm still fairly new to the thing beyond just doing full body affairs and masking. But I found that if I hold the airbrush close enough to the model, it gives me the application size I would need while still keeping the soft edges.
As for the convoluted plan for the turret, it's required because the way the central barrels are mounted such that there's no way to mask off the slots in the front, it's flat out inaccessible without removing the entire gun assembly, and you have to fit the loaders after the gun because they're kind of shaped around where the ammo feeds into the guns. And I already tried cramming the left loader in with the upper turret half in place, there's just not enough clearance because of how their backs fill in the space right behind the upper half. See the attached picture (which looks to be the exact same kit and crew, the latter in the reversed winter uniform scheme).
Also, I will be revisiting my crew after having found the attached picture. I thought I could get away with what I had face wise but seeing the way the multiple colors are working, I definitely will need to put more life into my men.
