Personally, i think McFarlane gave up on the license whatever wave the Didact came out in (2015?). Anything after this guy was hugely dumbed down and likely just made to fulfill the contract.
It's absolutely nuts that Mattel actually paid money for the Halo license after he dropped it. All other licensors basically disappeared and even MegaBloks cut way down on their line.
