After several attempts with a blow dryer and freezing, the damned part still won't straighten out. It's probably because the part is made of thick & hard acrylic plastic. The hair dryer just isn't getting the piece hot enough to make it soft & bendable. So plan B is to purchase a butane torch. That should get the piece hot enough to bend. Just gotta be careful not to melt the piece. Or burn myself. Or torch my house. Good times.
