>>8121650>diecastcheapest shit ever. Injection molding is much more expensive by 1.5-3x and holds better detail.
Hard plastics arent a sign of quality either. As mentioned, Hasbro is paying more since they have to formulate their own shit. Their aim is durablity, which increases how long it'll take before color changes or plasticizers start leaking. The latter of which is important: once that starts leaking, it becomes more brittle and that's a no-no for kids toys.
>No, it's called waterslide transfers. No, there are different types and the heat method is the fastest and most durable way of doing it. waterslides is mainly for hobbiest to do it at home and would be incredibly sketchy for mass production, especially for Hasbro who doesn't spend as much for QC.
In your video, they're doing tampographs (they mention ten pads) for things like the eyes/face, which is pretty costly compared to cheapo stickers. Same with airbrushes, which requires more tooling.
It's pretty clear that a company like Bandai is cheaping out a ton by just using the sticker for the face, vs DCC and Hasbro still using normal paint apps (like tampographs) + the sticker. Good Smile is obviously paying more too.
>If they were the same, why do they need to be bigger? Different markets and different fanbase. Western collectors want more/better detail rather than cutting away at the sculpt to maximize posing.
Also, if you haven't noticed, a lot of American reviewers and fans also don't care to do flamboyant poses with Japanese figures either like you see with Japanese lines.
But this can be confirmation bias. You want to look at the worst and think that applies to all. I'm sure you can cherry pick photographs all you want, because i could go all day too.
>>8121655>implying i go into brand specific threads to shit on them or liehue
But keep thinking your grudge is totally the same as me explaining my opinion after being attacked by 4 different mongs at the same time for not liking their toys.
