I lit my Kato n-scale station. I used SOT-23 adapter boards to mount the LEDs, which were removed from a 12V halogen replacement lamp. They're connected with magnet wire that runs out along the end of the roofline to a screw terminal board at the back. I added some Chinese-made n-scale pole lamps on the end platforms - they're OK but not as bright as the inside lamps, it kind of gives it a dark, lonely feel - like maybe they're old fixtures with worn-out lamps.
It's some frustrating shit putting together Kato models. For some unknown reason the decals are supplied UNCUT - you have to tediously cut them out yourself with a very new exacto blade, and they're vinyl so they very much want to stick to themselves.
