I finally got around to making a head for the new Potato-chan! It's a lot smoother and I tried to give a bit more dimension to the cheeks and brow this time (still kinda flat because smoothing out this clay smushes it). I screwed up cutting the headcap and neckhole though haha, they're both lopsided. I'll have to fix the neck but the headcap can just get hidden so I guess it's fine. It feels weird to call her Potato-chan too though now that she's sculpted.
>>7536344This is a budget production haha, I got a $3 loop of elastic sewing cord for the string from Michael's (as well as the clay (crayola air dry, $11)) and the loops are twist ties (from the grocery store (free)) that I had lying around in the kitchen; I just stripped the paper off and stuffed the wire into the clay while it was wet, then put a bit more clay through the loop to hold it down better.
