>>8228853I know I'll probably get the defense force come at me with this: I didn't think KotM was good. There are more fights, but they are about the same length as 2014. There are a lot of human scenes, but now they are more directly involved with the events of the movie (instead of being casual observers). King Ghidorah was depicted wonderfully, so I'd recommend it solely on if you like King Ghidorah. However the rest of the movie was really hard for me to sit through. Lots of cliches, very action oriented without much substance. The fights are usually one sided, and the way they interupt the fights annoyed me. KotM tried to cram in a lot of fan service while also trying to be a Hollywood action movie, so you see attempts to do both and it falls flat imo. I think the 2014 movie was much better in comparison.
I liked King Ghidorah in the movie and I think the monster redesigns were pretty good, especially Rodan. I can't find myself ever rewatching it though.
