Colorful characters and well designed minifigs that were identifiable but still unique. The vehicles were very personalized and had great play features, and they broke away from the traditional "clump of gray-black" that defines most DCU sets. TLBM let LEGO explore the fun side of Batman.

Maybe you're a zoomer who grew up with the Nolan trilogy, but Batman has always had some tongue-in-cheek cheesiness.
