After considering the evidence and doing some further research. I have concluded that the best scale are:
1/18 - Target Audience: kids that love to play with cars and tanks and not-so-giant robots.
Pros: Compatible with GI Joe military vehicles, Transformers, doll houses, and domestic vehicles.
Cons: Models with good face paint/mold are rare.
1/12 - Target Audience: 'kids' who loves to put figures on display.
Pros: Good face paint/mold. Culturally relevant characters. Easier to look at and appreciate than 1/18. Good articulation.
Cons: Larger, so all accessories/vehicles/buildings are more expensive compared to 1/18.
1/100 - Target Audience: kids that love Giant Robots.
Pros: Still have a detailed cockpit and pilot. Dioramas with detailed people are possible.
Cons: Giant robots bigger than gundams are still too big. It's their fault for being too big to make the "detailed cockpit and pilot" cut anyway.
