As for liking him, I think it's pretty much a total improvement over the original with the sole exception of having slightly more limited elbows (the original can bend nearly 180, the new one can only go a little farther than 90). Another minor annoyance is that he has this "flush hip skirts that block the leg articulation unless you move them out of the way" thing going on that MS has done for the past few figures, but it's still an improvement overall over the original, especially with how the crotch plate works.
The articulation is maybe a little bit better (1.0 was already pretty well articulated) but I think the biggest improvement is the look, it's just a MUCH cleaner design overall, like there's hardly any kibble or tabs hanging off him there's really no part on him that looks bad or weird or anything it's just good, and it's all a lot more solid in general too which is nice. Not a terribly complicated transformation either, it's basically just your standard prime transformation but with the extra step of flipping the windows around, and the roof of the truck comes from his backpack.
