>>8416119>>8417349Just get real sandpaper and nippers. Honestly not seeing much worthwhile in that tamiya set (assuming I'm looking at the right one), the nippers might be worse than what you have, and you already got a knife. Kinda baffled at it, why screwdrivers? why not a hobby knife instead of a shitty box cutter? Tweezers are nice I suppose, but metal files are a bit much for most plastic.
If you do feel the need to upgrade your nippers maybe see if you can get something like god hands PN-125, its their entry level set and shouldn't run you more than $15. Its made for gunpla and won't mangle your parts, but you'll probably still want to clean up after it. Cut away from the part to leave a nub, then bring it down as much as possible with the nippers or the knife if you're brave. If you get stress marks you can scratch with your fingernails to get the color back.
As for sandpaper look for a set of wet sanding high grit sandpaper, if that's hard to find you can always get one of these generic nail blocks (the flat edge helps). The point is you want a progressively finer grit, start with something harsh to bring down the nub, then something to even it out, and something to polish it back to shiny plastic.
If you do care about bringing down the plastic feel without top coat, I've heard of people using melanin sponges to create a matter finish on bare plastic, but rough surfaces don't play well with panel lines, so mind what order you do things in.
